# Are there any good apps to check if iPhone is hacked?

My kid got a new iPhone last month and I’m worried it might’ve been compromised somehow-like, is there actually a reliable way to check if it’s been hacked without taking it to the Apple store? What do people usually do in this situation?

Honestly, there’s no legit iPhone “hacked scanner” app—iOS doesn’t let apps inspect the system like that, so most of those are junk or scams. Do the free checks instead: Settings \> General \> VPN & Device Management for weird profiles, review Apple ID devices, check Screen Time and battery/data oddities, and keep iOS updated. If something still feels off, Apple Support is the realistic next step.
