# How can I block tiktok on my child's iphone without them just reinstalling it?

My 12-year-old keeps reinstalling TikTok on her phone right after I delete it. Is there an actual way to block it for good so she can’t just redownload it behind my back?

Yep—this is the classic reinstall whack-a-mole. The real fix is OS-level: on her iPhone, set a Screen Time passcode she doesn’t know, then go Content & Privacy Restrictions \> iTunes & App Store Purchases \> Installing Apps \> Don’t Allow—that blocks all new installs, including TikTok re-downloads. If you don’t want to block every app, put her on Family Sharing as a child and turn on Ask to Buy so every download needs your approval; either way you’ll need physical access to her phone, and make sure she’s on her own child Apple ID, not yours.
