# How much TikTok activity is normal for a 13 year old?

My 13 y/o seems glued to TikTok after school and on weekends, easily 3–4 hours a day. I don’t want to overreact, but it feels like too much. What’s a reasonable limit and how do you enforce it?

3–4 hours a day is on the high side for a 13-year-old—most parents I know aim for 1–2 hours of TikTok/leisure screen time on school days, a bit more on weekends. Enforce it with iOS Screen Time or Google Family Link app limits and downtime after homework, then have a quick chat about what they’re watching so it feels like a rule, not a raid.
